Continuing a family tradition…

O’Grady’s Clothing and Accessories traces its roots and draws its inspiration from my grandmother, Lelita Rose O’Grady. While raising four children, Lelita worked at the local ladies wear store, making sure that the women of Haileybury were the best dressed in Ontario.

When my grandmother’s employers left the industry and closed the store, Lelita found herself at a crossroads. Rather than abandon her passion and the women who benefited from her service, Lelita and my mother Jackie Matheson began a business of their own. The original “Mrs. O’Grady’s Ladies Wear” was opened.

While fashions change with the seasons, the values that I learned from my Grandma O’Grady have not. I take pride in giving the same level of care and attention to everyone who walks through my door as my grandma did. In helping women look and feel great in what they wear, I had the best teacher, my grandmother.
